Configuring DNS

I am not going with a separate domain for this project. I don’t want to take the responsibility of renewing and maintaining a new domain. Hence I have decided to go with a sub-domain linked to my primary domain (krish.website)

For this project (building Chuckle) the domain where the landing page will reside is chuckle.krish.website and the domain for the api is api-chuckle.krish.website. For  the api I wanted to go with api.chuckle.krish.wesbite, but as letsencrypt does not support it I decided to stick with api-chuckle.krish.website.

In the development stage of the project I will not be spinning up a new server and instead use an old server. But once the initial phase is ready I will go ahead and build a new server.

I have created two A records in the DNS for Chuckle. The first one is for the landing page and the second one is for the api.

I have kept the TTL to the lowest possible number for q faster propagation of the DNS changes. I will reduce the TTL.
